(12)Mark Tansey
Mark Tansey is a postmodernist painter born in America in 1949. He is mostly known for his monochromatic works which include hidden texts, meaning, and symbols. They normally depict everyday scenes and object, but if you take a closer look at them, they seem to reveal some oddities. He does not consider himself a realist because he paints from photographs. I enjoy his work for his simplicity in the color palette, yet by doing that I believe he portrays a very strong, almost controversial, image.
